Judy Adkins: Office Administrator
About Judy: Prior to moving to Sheldon and joining Cain Ellsworth in 2001, Judy worked as a legal assistant in Arizona. As office administrator, she processes the firm’s accounts receivable and payable and provides support services to the staff. She also works with the insurance team providing investment accounting services. Judy and her husband Scott have three children and three grandchildren and live in Sheldon.

About Lori: Cain Ellsworth’s office receptionist since 2000, Lori keeps things running smoothly. In addition to providing support services for staff, Lori is the friendly face that greets our clients and friends visiting our office. Lori lives in Sheldon with her husband Mark and three children. Lori is involved with several non-profit organizations.

About Abby: Abby, who leads our Accounting & Auditing Team and is one of our company’s managers, has concentrated expertise in property and casualty insurance. Abby joined Cain Ellsworth in 2001 and provides audit, review and other assurance and tax services to clients. She has led many internal initiatives, such as our firm’s successful conversion to a paperless environment. Abby lives in Rock Valley with her husband, Stan, and their four children.

About Stacie: After working as an accountant in local government and the insurance industry for nine years, Stacie joined the firm in 2002. Today she is a member of the firm’s management team and acts as the firm’s administrator and marketing coordinator. Stacie lives near Alton with her husband Vern and their four children. Stacie actively volunteers with a local private school and church, serving on a variety of committees.

About Mark: A part of the Cain Ellsworth team since 1974, Mark has more than three decades of experience helping property and casualty insurance companies and manufacturing businesses with accounting, tax and management issues. His keen understanding of leadership, business planning and strategy has made him a popular presenter at NAMIC and other association conventions and seminars. Mark currently serves as a director and audit committee chair for the IMT Insurance Group; and president of the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation. Mark and his wife Marsha live in Sheldon and have two grown children and one grandson.

About Erica: An experienced attorney and CPA, Erica joined Cain Ellsworth in 2008. As a tax supervisor, Erica supports clients with income tax planning and compliance and estate planning and generation-skipping transfer taxes. Erica and her husband, Ryan, live in Sanborn and have three children.

Jo lives in Sheldon with her husband, Brad, and their two children. They also own a local retail business.

Carrie, who lives in Orange City, is literate in Spanish and has volunteered for several local, national and international service projects.

About Nathan: Nathan worked as an intern at Cain Ellsworth during the summer of 2010 and the 2011 tax season. In 2011, Nathan received Dordt College's "Oustanding Accounting Student Award". Upon graduation from Dordt College in May 2011, Nathan joined Cain Ellsworth full time as a senior accountant. Presently, he is working with the firm’s banking, agricultural and other business clients in providing tax and assurance services. Nathan volunteers for his home church and serves as a musician and speaker for regional events.
